Professional experience
Parag Shah is a Partner in charge of the Advisory department at Grant Thornton Kenya. He joined the firm in 2002 as an Outsourcing trainee. He later changed his area of expertise to tax and became the tax manager for the firm in 2004. Since then he held various positions in the tax department and was made partner in the firm in 2009.
As a tax partner of Grant Thornton, Parag would oversee all the tax related matters such as tax compliance, advisory, tax audits and investigations by the revenue authority, transfer pricing, VAT, customs and excise related matters and cross border taxation. Aditionally, Parag and his team also conducted various seminars and trainings for the staff and clients of Grant Thornton on taxation laws of Kenya.
Parag is the partner in-charge of the advisory department.
He has substantial experience in advising multinational clients in not for profit, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and trading sectors.
