Michael Chomba is a Director at Grant Thornton Advisory East Africa Limited. He leads Grant Thornton's Infrastructure & Sustainability Consulting Practice in East Africa.
He is in charge of Strategy Development, Business Plan formulation, Business Development, Client Relationship Management and Execution Leadership of a diverse set of Advisory engagements in East Africa. Coverage sectors: Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency, Carbon Finance, Biodiversity Finance, Climate Resilient Infrastructure, Healthcare, Food & Agribusiness, Financial Inclusion amongst others.
His training as a Development Economist, Financial Analyst and Accountant helps him to effortlessly zoom in and out when analyzing client problems. In addition, he is an Expert in Climate Resilient Infrastructure Finance, Expert in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance and Expert in Biodiversity Finance.
He recently completed a three (3) year secondment to Grant Thornton International Limited (GTIL) as a Director Network Capabilities Team-Africa Coverage. This Pan-African role gave him a comprehensive landscape overview of Grant Thornton operations across 22 countries in Africa.
